Red Ironbark Vessel Blank

Red Ironbark is an Australian wood that cuts nicely and takes a naturally high polish because of its density and the presence of oils. Fine, interlocked grain also contribute to the nice finish. This wood was freshly cut in October 2022 and completely wax sealed. We advise using the twice turning method for best results (turning within 4-6 weeks of receipt of the wood is recommended). Ironbark is prone to checks if not twice turned properly. There may be box hearts. Box hearts may contain checks. Enjoy the stunning finish and rich color of this exotic wood.
