INCLUDES 1 WOOD BLANK (several blanks are shown to indicate the range of color/grain to expect). Australian Murray Red River Resin Gum Burl (Eucalyptus camaldulensis) is hard, heavy, and dense. Its favorite haunts are flowing water near creeks and rivers. Colors range from rich reds in the heartwood to creamy white in the sapwood. Red River Gum has resin pockets in the burls which makes some truly one-of-a-kind articles. The voids can present a challenge when working but are well worth the effort when finished. Most customers will leave the voids “natural” though some prefer to fill them with crushed Turquoise, epoxy, or other minerals. Either way, this is truly special wood for unique projects. Minor checks may be present. Blanks have been air drying since 2018, but may contain some residual moisture. Sizes may vary by +/- 1/8".
