Red Mallee Burl Cap

This beautiful Australian burl cap is ideal for stunning turning projects! It has been hand planed on the face. It was originally cut with a chainsaw on the face, so it may not be perfectly flat. There is residual moisture in this wood, but it has been air drying since July of 2022. Inclusions and checks are normal for this species and are not considered a defect. The wonderful live edge can be incorporated into many creative projects. This piece has planer skip, checks, and inclusions. Please see pictures for details.
