Butternut Lumber

This Butternut lumber is kiln dried and has been surfaced on two sides. The color is generally warm with honey-tan tones and reddish streaks. The wood works easily with hand and power tools, gluing and finishing well. It does not have any detectable odor when it is being worked. Common woodworking uses include boxes, carving, bowl turning, and many other fine woodworking projects. 1/16" to 1/8" bow or twist may be present in boards over 36". You'll enjoy the feathery-smooth luster produced when this hardwood is finished! This piece has pin holes and a partial live edge. Please see pictures for details.
