Collection: Paldao

Paldao, Drocaontomelon dao, is a tall, slender Southeast Asian tree that produces narrow boards with a color range from gray and brown to a reddish brown and greenish cast. This open grained hardwood has fine, dark lines with variegations and colors that are similar to Mun Ebony. Paldao is an extremely rare, highly sought after exotic wood with stunning visual appeal. The medium to coarse, interlocked, irregular grain can produce fiddleback and has good natural luster. Paldao wood works well with both hand and power tools. This unusual hardwood is almost exclusively sold in veneer form; solid pieces are rare. Common woodworking uses include veneer applications, cabinets, fine woodworking articles, jewelry boxes and flooring, but this specialty exotic wood can be utilized for any woodworking project you have in mind!
